Mushroomhead - are one of the most unique and adventurous alternative metal bands working today. Known for their stunningly theatrical live show and artsy masks, this innovative band has forged new ground in the rock world and influenced many other bands to push the envelope and bring art into rock. Formed in the early-1990s in Cleveland Ohio, the band’s combination of metal, rock and atmospheric elements has struck a chord with thousands of fans worldwide.

Mushroomhead have been performing incognito since 1993, when drummer Skinny founded the band. The band was meant to be a side-project so they wore masks to go unrecognized, but after only a few shows they developed a rabid and loyal fan base in Cleveland. Mushroomhead released their 1995 self-titled debut album independently and it went on to became an underground hit. This was history in the making because the band really had no proper distribution. Superbuick followed in 1996 and M3 in 1999, all released via an underground street effort. After the band felt its image and hyper-melodic, heavy style of music was being diluted by other bands jumping into this space, the band started to change their look to reflect nothing out there. After a brief stint on Eclipse Records, a move to Universal Records saw the release of XX (a combination of the past independent releases) in 2001 and XIII in 2003. The band’s last album sold over 200,000 units in the USA alone. Mushroomhead released Savior Sorrow for the pioneering rock label, Megaforce Records (Metallica, Anthrax, Ministry, Warren Haynes, Bad Brains) in 2006. Mushroomhead released “Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children” in the Fall of 2010 and it debuted at #44 on Billboard charts.

It can be said that Mushroomhead’s musical ascendance was a singular, original, aesthetic of eight guys decked out in matching jumpsuits and artsy masks, playing unbelievable, unsettling music. No other band was wearing masks and jumpsuits and purveying this type of ultra-melodic, ultra-dynamic music at the time – Mushroomhead sounded like nothing else. The band’s merging of metal, atmospheric elements, rock, and theatrics mixed with a punk DIY attitude has inspired and spawned other bands. Even though Mushroomhead’s music is rock-leaning in thought, the group remains firmly committed to pushing the envelope and trying new things. Influences range from the driving rhythms and breakneck turns of Pantera, to the dark melodies of Faith No More, to the atmospheric stylings of Pink Floyd, but all done in Mushroomhead style.

"Raven Black ‘Seven Sins’ – Album Review
Are you a fan of the macabre and the twisted? Do you have a fondness for the brutal and the bazaar? When you heard Darth Vader speak of going over to the dark side, did you think that sounded like a thought-provoking proposition to you? Then you my friend, may be interested in Raven Black, the uncompromising female-fronted metal band turning heads with their gritty tunes and dark carnival inspired visuals. It’s this mixture of fun and frightening that pulled me in, and it was their haunting hooks and sinister style that kept me wanting to know more about this band.

Last year, Raven Black released the EP ‘Seven Sins,’ which feature seven songs each as good as the last. “Twinkle Twinkle Little Scars,” the first track on the record, is the perfect introduction to the group thanks to its circus-themed rhythm which metal fans could liken to ‘Black Waltz’ era Avatar. To be honest, I loved every song on ‘Seven Sins,’ partially because it was as if someone took some of my favorite things, such as sideshows, Stitched Up Heart, voodoo, Daisy Chainsaw, Butcher Babies, vintage horror movies, unhinged vocals, unwielding guitars, and dominating drums, put them in a blender, and then added just enough LSD to make things totally unpredictable. Furthermore, I can feel the emotion behind the bands lyrics, such as in the song “Still Healing.” When vocalist Raven Black sings, “You let me fall. You Let Me Drown. You let me down. I’m still healing,” she doesn’t just throw those words away. They’re spoken in a way that makes them action verbs, bringing them to life. And isn’t that what we all want in our music? For it to transcend and help us to feel like we aren’t alone, even during our loneliest moments? “Damaged,” on the other hand, showcases the bands spirited sick side with rapid-fire pedals, a chugging hook, and seriously brutal vocals that prove just how hard women in metal can rock.
‘Seven Sins’ is delightfully demented, and offers just the right balance of sincerity and a band that does not take themselves too seriously. Raven Black is definitely one of those bands to watch, even if they make you feel as if you want to sleep with one eye open.

Annabel Lee
Annabel Lee
September - 2010. The concept was merely that, just a concept, not yet a reality, but soon to become one. The initial idea was based around a metal-core sound; harmonized guitar riffs, clean vocal choruses, and of course mixing in some breakdowns. During the winter of 2011/2012 the band began playing live and recorded their debut release. Over the next year and a half live shows were the primary focus of the group which proved to pay off as the band found themselves quite busy and also were presented with a lot of opportunities to provide local support for national touring acts at some of the area’s largest venues.

Creative Differences/Hiatus:
After laying the foundation and building a solid fan base, the time had come where a new recording was in order. As material was being compiled for this recording tension began to grow and creative differences started to become apparent. These were trying times and caused the band to take a brief hiatus and ultimately led to losing a member and the band continuing on as a 4 piece.

Here and Now:
Annabel Lee is moving forward and feel that they are stronger than ever. There’s a whole new level of drive and determination with the group and a very bright future ahead of them.

Coen The Butcher
Coen The Butcher
I am a small town girl from Virginia who has always had a passion for music. I was introduced to a band called Butcher Babies in 2013 and my world changed. The women in this band gave me the confidence to live my life the way I want to, to really be myself. I do not know what was holding me back, but I have been pursuing my dreams full force ever since. That is how I got my name, the butcher name started on my Instagram account as I was showing my support and love for Butcher Babies. The name just stuck. I asked the band if I could keep the butcher at the end of my public figure name and they agreed. I began writing small articles on festivals reviews around 2014. In 2015 my boyfriend and manager started Salohcin Clothing. I became marketing director and merch girl. We sponsor shows for bands to show our support and help promote. We set up at these shows/events to sell our merchandise. From there I began building my modeling portfolio which has always been a dream but never seemed like it could be a reality. I have worked with some really amazing people since I have started this career. I now write reviews and do photography for BAH Magazine covering festivals and shows. I model for GOREgeous, LLC. I am ambitious and I know that everything I have done so far is just the beginning. I currently have my own webstore you can purchase signed photos and more kewl stuff! The links below feature photographers I have worked with thus far!

Silent Theory
Silent Theory
In a society where new bands pop up every day, Silent Theory is here to set a new standard. Silent Theory was created in 2010 by brothers Mitch, Scott, and George Swanger and family friend Robert James. In 2014, Dakota Elliot Tyler joined to front the band. The Swanger brothers are from the Moscow, Idaho area, where they grew up playing music together. Dakota and Robert are from the western Washington area, where they grew up doing the same.

Lead singer Dakota says the guys are “like family” and they’ve made a great bond. Despite a portion of the group being brothers, they say it really makes the creativity flow having band members who aren’t related. From the beginning, the band has wanted to make music people can relate to. They want their fans to love their songs even more, every time they hear them.

The group started their journey playing small local shows to get their name out and their music heard. The band gained popularity and started playing bigger shows in the Seattle/Tacoma area, Spokane, Washington, and Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. The band also got the opportunity for a much bigger show, the South-By-Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas where they played with bands like Metallica, Shiny Toy Guns, The Proclaimers and more. 2010 was a year of achievements for the band. The group made an appearance on MTV Cribs, where they performed their single “Livin’ the Dream,” headlined the world famous “Whisky A Go-Go” in Los Angeles, California, and signed their first record deal with Turkey Vulture Records. By June 2011, the band was headed to Rockford, Illinois to record their full-length debut album, “Black Tie Affair,” which was released in October of 2011. In celebration of their album release, the band played the first ever sold out show in the history of the BellTower Concert House in Pullman, Washington. After the release of “Black Tie Affair” the band toured the nation in the summer of 2012 to promote the album and the single, “Livin’ the Dream” which was made available on the video game Rock Band. Recently, Silent Theory recently released several new songs including; “Outta My Head” in 2013, and their most recent single and music video, “Fragile Minds.” Their sophomore album, “Delusions” was released September 10th, 2016.

Through the years, Silent Theory has always had one constant goal in mind: To always be striving to better themselves. Despite challenges along the way, the band says “playing together has always kept us motivated, we’re all up there because we love it.” The band has plenty on their plate in the upcoming months and they’re ready to see what the future holds.

Never Wake
Never Wake
NeverWake's music is a sinew of rock and metal which forms a pathway for dark guitar harmonies to unwind into shredding leads. Symphonic choruses and melodic vocals pull the listener into a haunting trance and awakens them with undeniable guttering of heavily distorted breakdowns. NeverWake consists of Johnny DiCarlo on lead vocals/lead guitar, Marcus Giannamore on drums/vocals, George Scott on bass guitar/vocals and Justin Sanford lead guitar/vocals.

NeverWake was chosen by the AEG Live promoters to play on the first ever ReverbNation stage at the annual hard rock and heavy metal music festival Carolina Rebellion 2015. Kicking off the weekend for 60,000 fans, NeverWake had the incredible opportunity to share the spotlight with bands such as Korn, Slipknot, Nonpoint, Periphery and many more. In April, NeverWake rocked alongside various artists from Iron Maiden, Disturbed and Twisted Sister, (The Foundry), at The Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh and had multiple shows at the SXSW Heart ofTexas Rock Fest. Earlier in 2015, the band played at The ReverbNation Stage for the Millennium Music Conference Showcase, Altar Bar in Pittsburgh and several other local and nationwide venues.

Described as “smashing 'Bullet For My Valentine' and 'Trivium' together,” NeverWake's second and most recent studio album is "SleepWalker," crafted at Innovation Studios with producer/engineer Mike Ofca and mastered under legendary engineer Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound. Their debut full-length album "Vitality" was released in August 2011 and the single "Cut You Down" on Halloween of 2012.

Black Ritual
Black Ritual
The ritual in the name here is certainly black enough- a mostly death-core-centric blend of thrash and hardcore with the requsite ripped vocal cord emoto-throating vox. Their 2008 debut,1000 yard stare, was one of the biggest releases of the year,at least worthy of a check plus in the heavy ledger:plenty of that galloping,four-horsemen-of-the-metalocalypse riffage paired with a punishing -yet-nimble bottom end that suggested plenty of good things to come. In 2010 the band decided to part ways. They went on to try different avenues but in 2015 Black Ritual came back together because they knew where their best writing was done!

Black Ritual has shared the stage with such acts as Exodus, Corrosion of Conformity, Obituary, Cradle of Filth, Butcher Babies, Nonpoint, Joey Belladonna (singer of Anthrax) Fear Factory, Adema, Carnifex, Hate Eternal... etc. etc.
Kore rozzik
Kore rozzik
Kore Rozzik is a New York City band driven by The Charisma and Attitude of its Namesake Front Man. Playing the NY metro area for the last several years Kore Rozzik has managed to successfully make their mark as one of the definitive acts of NYC. "Our shows can be explained as "organized chaos". You never know what is going to happen when we get on that stage. It’s that same attitude which has helped them share the stage throughout the U.S. with such acts as Dope, John 5, L.A. Guns, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Scorpions, Buckcherry, Fuel, Steven Tyler, Lita Ford, Sebastian Bach, Wayne Static and many more. We always raise the bar to show we belong here! I think our fans relate to that underdog mentality" says the front man regarding their performances.

The band is rounded out by some of NYC’s finest players including Andrei (Guitars) Lynxx (Guitars) Louie (Drums) and Grim(Bass). This combination of players and sounds has resulted in what is now called “Vengeance Overdrive”. Kore Rozzik had previously worked with such producers as Paul Bento (Type O Negative/Carnivore) and Virus (Dope/Device/Rock of Ages).

The collaboration with Virus resulted in the release of “Doomsday Walks”. Vengeance Overdrive will be the official Debut EP of the band. It will be released in the fall of 2017. Kore Rozzik continues to push their brand of hard rock/metal and will be promoting their EP as they return to Rocklahoma and other festivals including some shows at South by Southwest with Otep.
Motograter was formed in 1995 and is most well known for their namesake instrument the “Motograter”, a mysterious contraption designed with industrial cable, guitar pieces, and other components, to create a unique, low, distorted bass sound. The band is widely known for their image, notorious for covering themselves in tribal style body paint. The early stages of the group’s career consisted of heavy experimentation with industrial sounds, samples, and tribal drums. The band released two EP’s ‘Hugh Chardon’ and ‘Indy’ and in 2001 were signed to Sever Records, founded by Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber. The band’s sound continued to evolve, eventually incorporating a dark, groove-oriented guitar styling, that would help broaden the band’s appeal and reach a wider audience. In 2003, the band inked a deal with No Name/Elektra Records and released the highly acclaimed. self-titled album, ‘Motograter’, featuring Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch/Ghost Machine) on vocals. The song “Suffocate” was featured on the soundtrack to the film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The song “Down” is featured on the EA Sports video game Nascar Thunder 2004. Motograter toured on Ozzfest 2003. Motograter has toured with Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Chevelle, Disturbed, Ministry, Nothingface, Kittie, Mushroomhead, Cradle of Filth, Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, Voivod, and many more.

Motograter recently performed Knotfest 2014, alongside Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Danzig, Anthrax, and more; followed by National Tours with ILL NINO, DOPE, FLAW, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE, AND HED PE.
Ironcore Resistance
Ironcore Resistance
Started in 1968 by lead singer David Willie's uncle Joe Paul Willie, they started Ironcore Resistance as a form of release and good music for their friends and families. In 1972 Joe Paul passed away in car accident, it was then Ironcore Resistance was put on hold. Fast forward to 2009 when David was going through old photos and found one of his uncles band. He knew what had to be done and reformed Ironcore Resistance to be a hard rock and Metal band. David along with Charlie Turner and David Rushing, formed the band that is on the move today, Kevin Oakley was added to the lineup as a second guitarist and they hit the road playing every venue, bar and dive that would let them play, trying to spread the sonic mastery of the hard rock and metal pioneers before them. Their first show was at the famous Exit/in in Nashville as part of the Slave to the Metal tour sponsored by, after a couple of years of constant touring they went into the studio to create their first full length album "Join The Resistance", 10 songs of brutal guitar riffs heavy bass and thunderous drums. One month after the release they were tapped to hit the road with Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society, they have received numerous reviews in magazines like Metal Hammer and Terrorizer. In 2014 David decided that if Ironcore was writing music for the members of the Military and Armed Services, that the best way to do that is by actually joining the Army so that he would have a first hand experience to write about, so at the age of 34 he joined the Kentucky National Guard, after several months of writing and fine tuning, they released a 5 song E.P. titled "The Peace of War", songs written about the experiences of David and his time in service, Virus from the band DOPE contributed a solo to the song "Sanity Ends". Ironcore Resistance is now a trio of like minded musicians that come together to bring emotion and feeling back to rock music in a ocean full of processed sound, they crank up and hammer out everything with the drive and power that can only be had when you jacked up on Redbull flying down the side of a mountain in tank headed for the battlefield, machine gun blasting. \m/
Farewell To Fear
Farewell To Fear
Farewell To Fear was born out of the huge black hole that mainstream rock radio left during the absence of super rock stars like Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. Farewell To Fear revisits that era with big rock riffs, big choruses and big anthems for a new generation of mainstream rockers. With their first full-length album, New Blood, generating an incredible three singles on Sirius XM’s Octane channel, an unheard-of feat for an unknown band as well as landing them at #1 on Amazon’s Hot New Rock Singles chart and #8 on iTunes Rock chart, their debut also earned them direct support from Howard Stern, including the rarest of moments on Stern’s show… airing an entire song as opposed to the normal 20 second snippet he usually shares. That track, “Diamonds” is recently eclipsed 1 million streams on Spotify.

From day one, Farewell To Fear were quick to establish opportunities performing at events that put them in front of a few hundred to over 25,000 people and have opened for a variety of bands including Sevendust, PopEvil and even landed them a coveted slot on Monster Energy’s Welcome to Rockville, sharing the stage with bands including Alice in Chains, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Nonpoint and many more.

Inspired by the recording process of their most recent EP, Legacy, the band has been writing and recording relentlessly, ultimately allowing them to seamlessly merge their skills and styles together to create heavy rock songs that deliver a strong punch to the gut while staying melodic and delivering impactful lyrics hitting all ranges and octaves.

Now they are back with their new single, “Waiting for Sunrise” and are gearing up for a full-length album in early 2018. Undeniably, Farewell To Fear has a full rock assault planned for early next year!
